The community is coming together to fight for the funding of the police and fire department in Cape Coral. To learn more about the issue and keep your community safe, check out the Save The Cape Rally at City Hall in Cape Coral on Thursday, September 8th. On Friday, Cape Coral mayor John Sullivan announced that he plans to veto the budgets of both the Police Department and Fire Department (NBC 2, Sept. 2).
If he goes through with this plan, then as of October 1st, there will be NO FUNDING for the police of fire department in the Cape!
Let’s let Sullivan know that we will not stand by while a politician plays games with our safety. The rally will start before the City Council budget hearing Thursday.
